Liverpool 0-0 Southampton | Forster's penalty save helps Saints to clean sheet at Anfield
Fraser Forster's fine penalty save to deny James Milner from the spot helped Southampton to keep a clean sheet in a goalless draw at Anfield.
What they said:
"I think all the defence in front of Fraser was very good. All the team defended very well and it was difficult for Liverpool to find the good position to shoot.
"Sometimes they were able to, but Fraser made some good saves. The penalty was a fantastic save."
"I'm satisfied. After Hull City, it was not enough for us, and it was a good opportunity today to correct this and to show our mentality and spirit.
"They did some fantastic work today, with good organisation, discipline, structure and effort. It was fantastic on the defensive side.
"We tried after recovering the ball to start some good play, but it was difficult to play against this team, because they did some fantastic pressing against us and it was difficult to start with the ball.
"But we maintained this wall with the save of Fraser from the penalty, and that was important for all the squad, because I think we deserved a point.
"Four games against Liverpool and four clean sheets, when we know their quality and the offensive players they have, is very good."

What they said:
Fraser Forster: "The lads in front of me were fantastic and really limited the chances. It was nice to make the save and nice to keep a clean sheet, which is a good foundation moving forward.
"I think if you look at his [James Milner's] record he goes left, right, down the middle, but fortunately I guessed right today and made the save.
"We're obviously delighted. It's always a tough place to come and we had to battle very hard for that point.
"I think as a team we were very strong and compact and made it hard for them to get through us. It was a fantastic team performance and a good point away from home."

Claude Puel:
"Fraser made a fantastic save from this penalty. It was important for him and us, because it was harsh to concede this penalty. It was a good reward for all.

Saints blank Liverpool again
Southampton made it four games unbeaten and four clean sheets in a row against Liverpool this season, as they fought for a 0-0 draw at Anfield. Fraser Forster's stunning penalty save in the second half from James Milner highlighted what was a brilliant defensive performance from the entire side.
Liverpool 0-0 Southampton
James Milner missed a second-half penalty as Liverpool's hopes of securing a Premier League top-four spot suffered a blip in a goalless draw against Southampton. It was a terrible spectacle for the supporters inside Anfield. Liverpool rarely tested Saints keeper Fraser Forster, bar the penalty and Marko Grujic's header late in the game.
