Ryan Mason, 25, is making “excellent progress” having fractured his skull in a horrifying collision whilst playing for Hull City in the Premier League. Mason, Hull’s record signing, had been visited in hospital by Chelsea defender Gary Cahill (who was involved in the sickening clash of heads) together with their assistant manager Steve Holland. The Chelsea pair along with Hull City captain Michael Dawson and other medical staff from Hull, spent time with Mason’s family and checked on the well-being of the Tigers midfielder at the weekend.
