Manolo Gabbiadini came off the bench to score a 90th minute equaliser to rescue a point for Saints at Burnley in a 1-1 draw. Reaction:  Alex McCarthy: “Obviously coming away to Burnley we knew it was going to be a tough game, but to get the point in the end is massive. “We haven’t had a lot of luck this season, but getting that bit of luck has obviously resulted in a goal for us. “It wasn’t going to be a pretty game, but the boys stuck together and we got the point in the end. “We’ve got great character in this group and a great squad with great players. “The boys still think we could’ve done better out there – we know we can – but there are a lot of positives we can take into Stoke next week.” Mauricio Pellegrino: "I think in the way that we equalised we can be happy because it was really difficult, after conceding against this side who don't concede too much themselves. Saints progressed to the quarter finals of the FA Cup thanks to a 2-1 win over West Brom. Dutch defender Wesley Hoedt scored his first goal for the club before Dusan Tadic doubled the lead. Salomon Rondon netted for the hosts. Reaction: Dusan Tadic: “We are very happy because we showed great character to fight against a physical and strong team, especially in the second-half. “It was very important to get an early goal. Nathan played a nice ball to Guido who found me and that’s the most important thing. “We will have these kind of teams in the rest of the season. Next game we have Burnley who are also physical and we need to compete against them. It’s a lot about confidence and I think we are going in the right dire

James Ward-Prowse also netted a fine free kick. Reaction: James Ward-Prowse: "We knew it was going to be tough here, but it's an important three points. "No matter how we won the game, it's just important that we dug in deep. Ok, we've not been playing the best of football, but we dug in together and got the vital three points. "There's a bit of competition for the free-kicks, but it shows how passionate we all are. "There's a good feeling around the team and all the lads want to do well to help the team. Thankfully for me, I was able to do that today, but Sofiane played brilliantly and did his part as well." ----- Jack Stephens: "I was disappointed with West Brom's opening goal – he was my man – so it's nice to make up for it."
